These ingredients combine artisan cacao with roots, functional mushrooms, beet, shilajit, coconut sugar, vanilla, and monk fruit. Together, these ingredients create a rich dark chocolate with subtle earthy notes and a distinctive botanical formula.
What's in Rejuve & Renew?
Chocolate Base: Cacao
Roots and Botanicals: Turmeric, maca, ashwagandha, burdock, rhodiola rosea, and beet
Mushrooms: Chaga, reishi, lion's mane, cordyceps, and fu ling poria
Traditional Ingredient: Himalayan shilajit
Other Chocolate Ingredients: Coconut sugar, vanilla beans, and monk fruit extract
Each ingredient group contributes something different to the finished chocolate bar.
1. Cacao
Cacao forms the foundation of Rejuve & Renew.
The cacao used for the chocolate comes from Hawaii and goes through small-batch fermentation, roasting, and stone grinding.
Cacao naturally contains a complex mixture of fats, carbohydrates, minerals, and plant compounds. It also contains theobromine and smaller amounts of caffeine.
Most importantly, cacao provides the rich dark chocolate flavor that allows the roots and mushrooms to blend naturally into the bar.
2. Turmeric Root
Turmeric is a golden-colored rhizome related to ginger.
People have used it for generations as both a culinary spice and traditional botanical.
Turmeric naturally contains compounds called curcuminoids. Curcumin is the best known of these compounds.
However, turmeric is not a cure for cancer or other diseases. In Rejuve & Renew, it is better understood as one traditional botanical within a much broader chocolate formula.
3. Maca Root
Maca grows naturally in the high Andes of Peru.
People have consumed the root as food for generations. Today, maca also commonly appears in adaptogen-focused foods and supplements.
Its naturally earthy character works particularly well with dark chocolate.
In Rejuve & Renew, maca complements the cacao and other roots without requiring exaggerated claims about fertility, hormones, or energy.
4. Ashwagandha Root
Ashwagandha has a long history in Ayurvedic tradition.
Today, it is also one of the most familiar ingredients in modern adaptogen formulas.
Researchers have studied certain ashwagandha preparations in areas such as stress and sleep. However, results depend on the specific preparation, amount, and person.
Ashwagandha also has important safety considerations. Therefore, people with certain medical conditions or medication use should discuss it with a healthcare professional.
5. Burdock Root
Burdock is both an edible root and a traditional botanical.
People have eaten burdock in several cultures, particularly in parts of Asia.
Traditional herbal systems have also used the root for generations.
Rather than describing burdock as a blood cleanser or detoxifier, Rejuve & Renew simply uses it as another traditional root within the botanical blend.
6. Rhodiola Rosea
Rhodiola grows naturally in colder and mountainous regions.
It has a long history in traditional herbal practices throughout parts of Europe and Asia. Today, it commonly appears in modern adaptogen formulas.
Rejuve & Renew combines rhodiola with maca and ashwagandha rather than relying on one adaptogenic botanical alone.
7. Beet
Beet adds a familiar plant food to the formula.
Its naturally earthy flavor works particularly well with cacao and the other roots.
Beets also contain naturally occurring pigments responsible for their deep red color.
In Rejuve & Renew, beet contributes another whole-food botanical component to the chocolate blend.
8. Chaga
Chaga grows primarily on birch trees in cold climates.
People have traditionally prepared it as a tea or decoction in parts of northern Europe and Asia.
Today, chaga also appears frequently in mushroom powders, beverages, and functional foods.
Rejuve & Renew includes it as one of five mushroom ingredients.
9. Reishi
Reishi has a long history in traditional East Asian wellness practices.
Its naturally earthy and somewhat bitter character pairs naturally with dark cacao.
In Rejuve & Renew, reishi complements the roots and other mushrooms without overpowering the chocolate flavor.
10. Lion's Mane
Lion's mane is an edible mushroom with a distinctive appearance.
People use it both as food and as an ingredient in modern functional mushroom products.
Its flavor is relatively mild compared with some other mushrooms. Therefore, it can blend into cacao without dominating the finished bar.
11. Cordyceps
Cordyceps refers to a group of fungi with a long history in traditional East Asian practices.
Today, cordyceps commonly appears in adaptogen and functional mushroom formulas.
Rejuve & Renew includes cordyceps alongside chaga, reishi, lion's mane, and fu ling.
12. Fu Ling Poria
Fu ling, also called poria, has a long history in traditional Chinese botanical preparations.
It comes from a fungus associated with tree roots.
Although it may be less familiar to Western consumers than reishi or lion's mane, fu ling has been used in traditional formulas for generations.
It completes the five-mushroom blend in Rejuve & Renew.
13. Himalayan Shilajit
Shilajit is a naturally occurring substance traditionally collected from mountainous regions of Asia.
It has a long history within Ayurvedic traditions.
Because shilajit differs from both the roots and mushrooms in the formula, it adds another type of traditional ingredient to Rejuve & Renew.
Quality and purity are especially important with shilajit because products from different sources can vary substantially.
14. Coconut Sugar
Coconut sugar provides much of the sweetness in Rejuve & Renew.
It comes from the sap of coconut palm flowers and has a deeper flavor than ordinary white sugar.
That slightly caramel-like character works particularly well with dark cacao.
However, coconut sugar is still a form of added sugar. Therefore, it is better to describe it accurately rather than treating it as a free food simply because it comes from a plant.
15. Vanilla Beans
Vanilla helps soften the natural bitterness of cacao and the earthy notes from the botanical ingredients.
The existing Sarvaa chocolate-making story describes vanilla being stone-ground with the cacao and coconut sugar.
As a result, vanilla becomes part of the chocolate itself rather than simply being added as an artificial flavor.
16. Monk Fruit
Monk fruit adds additional sweetness to the bar.
Because monk fruit is intensely sweet in small quantities, it can complement coconut sugar without requiring the chocolate to rely entirely on sugar for sweetness.
In Rejuve & Renew, it helps balance cacao, mushrooms, roots, and shilajit.
How the Rejuve & Renew Ingredients Work Together
Rejuve & Renew combines several different ingredient groups:
- Artisan cacao
- Traditional roots
- Adaptogenic botanicals
- Five functional mushrooms
- Beet
- Shilajit
- Coconut sugar
- Vanilla
- Monk fruit
Cacao provides the foundation.
Meanwhile, the roots and mushrooms create earthy notes that naturally fit dark chocolate. Coconut sugar, vanilla, and monk fruit then help balance the bitterness.
As a result, the Rejuve & Renew ingredients create something different from either an ordinary chocolate bar or a traditional powdered adaptogen supplement.
From Botanical Blend to Chocolate Bar
Flavor balance matters when adding mushrooms and roots to chocolate.
Too much bitterness or earthiness can quickly overwhelm cacao. Therefore, the goal is not simply to add the largest possible amount of botanical ingredients.
Instead, Rejuve & Renew combines them with dark chocolate in a way that allows cacao to remain the dominant flavor.
That balance is one of the most distinctive qualities of the product.
